PLC Troubleshooter ("the app") is a training application for industrial control system troubleshooting, published by North Star Software. This policy explains what information the app handles. The short version: the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
The app saves the following on your device only, so that your progress is kept between sessions:
This information is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
The full trainer is unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play. The app never sees your payment details; it only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase belongs to the signed-in Google account, and it stores that confirmation on the device. Google's handling of the payment is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
When you choose to print or share a certificate PDF, the app hands that file to the app you select (for example email, a printer, or a file manager) using your device's standard sharing feature. What happens to the file after that is governed by the app you chose and is under your control.
Because everything is stored on your device, you can remove it at any time by using Reset progress inside the app, by clearing the app's data in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app.
The app is intended for adults and students training in industrial maintenance. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If the app ever changes the way it handles information, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change.
